We saw a lovely poem from a firefighter reflecting on “the summer just passed” today and took a very deep breath!

While the calendar might be telling us summer has gone, we know that last year in WA, one of the busiest days for fire call-outs was in “Winter”.

So this post from the Rosa Brook Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is as important as ever and we thought we would share it to prompt other Brigades to ask their community the same question:

Are you firebreaks clear and wide enough to ensure the best chance to stop small fires becoming larger ones?

Thank you Rosa Brook, your local knowledge, skills and management are very strong assets for your community.
