Time is almost up for those who would like to help improve the preparation and response to future bushfires by making a submission to the WA Government’s Inquiry into the devastating Wooroloo bushfire in February 2021.

The extended deadline for submissions is now Friday 8 October and Bushfire Volunteers urges everyone involved to submit directly to the government’s inquiry.

The association will be making a submission and therefore invite anyone who would like to contribute insights, feedback or other information but are not comfortable doing it directly, to provide it to us for inclusion in our formal submission.

As we had launched our own inquiry prior to any commitment from the state, the views of those who provided information to the association will be summarised and incorporated in our submission to the government’s inquiry (privacy protected).

Given the state’s new deadline is fast approaching, we hereby encourage anyone who would like to express their feedback via the association to provide it to us by Friday 1 October either via our online form here or by email to .

Thank you to the many individuals and groups who submitted to our inquiry and we hope our combined voices will inform the state’s inquiry and provoke genuine improvements that limit loss and trauma of future fires.
