[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades (AVBFB) was overwhelmed with questions from volunteers in the days and weeks following the Western Australian Government announced its decision in response to the Ferguson Report’s recommendation to establish a Rural Fire Service.

With such limited resources, we decided the most efficient way of trying to obtain the information and provide it to our members was via a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

The questions and answers below have been compiled to reflect the majority of those asked by volunteers, however if you have another question that isn’t answered here, please get in touch.

Each heading below has a set of specific questions and answers – just click (or touch) the heading to expand the list.

Also, each question has a version number next to it (eg. V1.0). This is because we are hopeful that over time we will obtain more information and update the detail of each answer as we do. Major updates will move the first number while minor changes will increase the number after the decimal point.

If an entirely new question and answer is added, the version number will be noted as “(V1.0 New)”.
