Members of the Clackline Muresk Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade happy to receive their new FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera courtesy of our Western Power Small Equipment Grants program

With thanks to our great friends at Western Power, FLIR Australia and Chubb Fire and Safety, the team at Clackline Muresk Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade received a brand new FLIR K2 Thermal Imaging Camera from our Western Power Small Equipment grants program.

The photo shows some of the Brigade members who were about to head off for overnight blackening out duties at the fire that burnt through hundreds of hectares in York last week – and we’re told the new TIC saved them an enormous amount of time and helped locate many hot-spots that could have easily flared up again if they were missed.

Thank you Western Power for supporting our Brigades with these kinds of essential tools otherwise not available to them and thank you to all our volunteer members like those at the Clackline Muresk who engage with the association to try to make things better for everyone.
