Acton South West have led the charge to raise $10,000 for the WA Emergency Services Volunteer Hardship Assistance Scheme.

Acton partnered with a number of sponsors to badge an awareness vehicle which acknowledged local businesses which took part.

Bendigo Bank then matched the funds dollar for dollar.

Acton South West marketing manager Sarah Staphorst said the car has been driving all over the region raising awareness and encouraging others in the community to support the cause.

“The Hardship Scheme is for volunteers to apply for assistance when they need it,” she said.

“For example, volunteers who lose their own homes in bushfires while fighting to save other people’s homes.”

Sponsors included: C&R Settlements; EBM Rent Cover Bunbury; Bendigo Bank; The Mail and Acton South West.
