With support of the Department of Communities, Bushfire Volunteers has today announced its exciting new Breaking Barriers: Issues and opportunities for women project and the very first thing we need to do is recruit a consultant Project Officer to manage the project. Please share this post with anyone you believe might be interested in working with us on this very important piece of work either as the paid Project Officer, a volunteer or a sponsor.

The Project aims to formally quantify and qualify both perceived and actual barriers and make recommendations that will inform changes required to encourage, support and recognise the value of women actively involved at all operational, administrative and support levels of WA’s Volunteer Bush Fire Service.
