The Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades (AVBFB) in partnership with Western Power invites suitable applicants to apply for the Western Power grants of up to $5,000. Applications are open from 1st February 2018 and close on Friday 30th March 2018.
Who can apply:
Applications are only open to brigades located in areas linked to Western Power’s electricity network.
Funding is up to $5,000, the allocations are for one financial year and are not recurrent. The grants are limited to:
- The purchasing of equipment or
- undertaking capital works on stations and appliances
The grants are not to be used for brigades’ operating costs.
Brigades that receive a grant will be required to submit to the Association receipts for the expenditure of the grants. These receipts will also be provided to Western Power for their own accountability process.
